In the name of God Amen. I Edward JACOMB of London Merchant make this my Last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say).

First I will that all my just debts legacies and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied.

Item I give to my honored mother Lucy JACOMB the sum of one hundred pounds as a legacy.

Item I give to my brother Robert JACOMB twenty pounds as a legacy.

And as to all the rest and residue of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same unto my brother William JACOMB and my sisters Lucy and Anne JACOMB in equal parts share and share alike.

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said honored mother Mrs Lucy JACOMB and my uncle Henry JACOMB executors of this my said will hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and appointing this to be my Last Will and Testament only.

In witness where of I the said Edward JACOMB have to this my said Will contained in one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand and forty one [1741]

And in the fifteenth year of the reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain and France and Ireland King Defender the Faith.  Edward JACOMB signed sealed published declared and delivered by the above named Edward JACOMB the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the said testator’s presence. This Will was proved at London before the Worshipful Robert CHAPMAN Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Worshipful John BETTESWORTH, Doctor of Laws, Master Keeper or Commissionary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted on thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord 1743 by the oath of Lucy JACOMB, widow the month of the deceased and surviving executrix named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased having being first sworn duly to Administer the same.
