SS Netherby Hall

A Steam Ship (S.S.) built in 1905 by by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson at Newcastle. Originally named “Glenearn” for Glen Line. In 1910 she was renamed “Netherby Hall”. Captured and sunk on 9th January 1917 by German raider SMS Moewe (Auxiliary Cruiser) off Pernambuco, Brazil.

The ship’ crew were taken as Prisoners of War.
