War Office List of individuals transferred to Holland X74078 arrived Holland 18th April 1918 (50 names mostly army officers). Source British Minister at the Hague.

Letter 16th April 1918 re William BROYD Fisherman age 52 of Grimsby and Lucien DESILETS Optician age 61 Canadian (from SS “Mount Temple”, arrived at Boston (Lincolnshire).

Letter marked M5941 says “Thirteen officers including Captain G George SS “Warren”; Captain R.A. KNIGHT; U.F.M NICHOLSON ss “Esmeraldas”; Captain D THOMAS and one and fifteen other ranks arrived in Holland on April 14th for internment under paragraph 7 Hague Agreement.”

List of civilians arrived in Holland 23rd March 1918 (circa 128 names). Decode of telegram from Sir W Townley (The Hague) Dated April 9th 1918. “Twenty-one officers arrived from Germany April 8th for internment among whom were H.H Andrews Wireless Officer of ss “Esmeraldas”; R BRADLEY of ss “Eddie”; G. HAY of ss “Bulgarian”; W.O. JONES and one hundred and three other ranks also arrived for internment.”

War Office List of individuals transferred to Holland X.73535 arrived Holland 14th April 1918 (13 names mostly army officers).

War Office List of individuals transferred to Holland X.73005 arrived Holland 8th April 1918 (23 names mostly army officers).

? 2/4/1918 Prisoner of War Department – Copy list transmitted by H.M. Minister the Hague of Prisoners of War released from Ruhlebenfor internment in Holland. Reference 55886/1218P.Previous paper 554-4905.

Handwritten note on folder cover says “This list agrees with the Ruhleben camp changes reports. Apparently the names on M4905 are additional only one is contained in each (James EDWARDS)”

German List of civilians transferred to Holland 21st February 1918 (54 names).

Telegram from Sir W TOWNLEY The Hague 25th March 1918 prisoners arrived from Germany (circa 122 names).

Note re John LEARY age 46 of “City of Belfast” and L Moreton PHILLIPS age 34 teacher. Died on voyage from Rotterdam to Boston.

List of Civilians released 7th March and arrived England 14th March 1918 (circa 136 names). Includes Ernest Lionel PYKE age 47 Company director.

9th March 1918 List of further civilian prisoners released from Germany circa 25 names.

6th February 1918 list of German proposed names to be transferred (circa 50 names).

Handwritten list of Merchant seamen arrived in Holland from Germany 24/2/1918 (circa 22 names) includes William FERNANDO of SS Colchester and Albert E KENT of “Coralie Horlock”.

Prisoner War Department Memo to Board of Trade 19/2/1918 Marked M2846 with reference to M2159. Reconciliation of names George GRAHAM and John GRAHAM is the same person. Arthur REILLY and Arthur O’REILLY is the same person. George STEVENSON and George Caddle STEVENSON is the same person.

German list of British prisoners (circa 40 names) with pencil corrections (interned at Ruhleben).

Letter from ex prisoner dated 27th March 1918, which refers to deaths at Ruhleben of Captain RUSSEL of ss “bury”; Captain Davidson of ss ”Cogent” and Captain CORDINER of ss “Hepworth”.
